In recent years we have seen a large number of betting sites and new games emerging and more and more people are betting and losing large amounts of money on these platforms.
According to data from Datafolha, 15% of Brazilians revealed that they have already placed some type of bet on websites called bets. This has been a male activity: 21% report having gambled. Among women, this rate is 9%. This study was carried out in December 2023.
What are the effects of these games on the mental health of the population? Can this addiction be considered a pathology? With these changes and the emergence of new betting houses and new games, has the age range of those affected changed? This and other questions will now be answered on ABP TV
