Myths and truths about schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder characterized by the loss of reality and during the crisis the patient experiences outbursts, delusions and hallucinations. According to the World Health Organization - WHO), the disease is the third cause of loss of quality of life between the ages of 15 and 44, considering all diseases. It affects around 1.6 million Brazilians who, in addition to the disease, suffer from stigma. Patients suffering from this disease suffer a lot of prejudice, which results in low demand for specialized treatment. To clarify the most common doubts, today's ABP TV will discuss the myths and truths about schizophrenia.
