Eating disorders have been growing at an alarming rate, especially among young people. According to data from the American Medical Association, 22.36% of children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 have conditions such as anorexia, binge eating and bulimia, among others, or a combination of them. According to the World Eating Disorder Organization, more than 70 million people worldwide are affected by some eating disorder, the most common types of which are anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder. To discuss the subject, today's ABP TV, 2024 July 23, will welcome psychiatrists José Carlos Appolinário and Maria Angélica Antunes Nunes.
