Depression is one of the most common mental disorders and according to the World Health Organization - WHO, it will be the major cause of disability by 2030. The physiological changes that occur during adolescence may be one of the factors that lead to the onset of psychiatric illness and a trigger for the person who has a genetic predisposition to develop mental illness.
On today's ABP TV, we're going to discuss an extremely important topic: the causes and impacts of depression on teenagers. The program is based on the article Adolescent depression and resting state fMRI brain networks: a review of longitudinal studies, published in the Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry.
