Obsessive-compulsive disorder, known as OCD, has as its central feature the presence of obsessions and/or compulsions. Even though it has a high prevalence in the population, it is often not diagnosed, which leads to considerable delay in starting treatment, thus impairing the prognosis. Bipolar disorder (BD) is characterized by the presence of depressive and manic episodes that, in most cases, can begin before the age of 25. This disorder is one of the top ten causes of disability worldwide. Recent research indicates that BD and OCD are highly comorbid psychiatric conditions. On today's ABP TV, we're going to discuss this very important and little-spoken topic.
