Electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation are brain stimulation techniques that alter or modulate brain activity through the application of electricity, either through the use of an electrical current or electromagnetic induction. Although they are safe and effective therapies in the treatment of various mental disorders, there is still a lot of stigma about the techniques. On today's ABP TV, we will address the theme "Myths and truths about electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)".
