Although old age is considered the "best age" because it is a time of tranquility, unfortunately the elderly have become more and more victims of violence. Data from Dial 100, the Federal Government channel that receives reports of human rights violations, point out that the Covid-19 pandemic has intensified cases. From 2019 to 2020, there was a 53% increase in reports of violence against the elderly. There are several forms of aggression against the elderly and most abusers are part of the victim's family. June 15th is marked by World Violence Awareness Day against the Elderly and on ABP TV today, we are going to discuss this subject that is so current and relevant to our society.
