Drug consumption can cause several changes in the body in the short or long term, such as changes in appetite, heart rate, blood pressure, and can even contribute to the development of mental illnesses. One of the biggest impacts of drugs, especially illicit ones, is on the quality of people's sleep, a fundamental biological function. These changes can generate sleep disorders that have adverse consequences on people's lives, reducing their daily functioning, impacting their behavior, and thus compromising their quality of life.
