Talking about mental health has always been taboo, and historically, mental illness has been stigmatized. If people suffering from psychiatric disorders were considered "demonized" before, today the lack of information means that these people are still left on the margins of society, without receiving adequate medical care and, often, living without dignity.
One of the most stigmatized mental illnesses is schizophrenia, characterized by thoughts and behaviors that seem to have no contact with reality. Today's ABP TV will address the topic "How can knowledge about schizophrenia combat prejudice?".
