By 2020, according to the World Health Organization, depression will be the most disabling disease on the planet, impacting not only health but also the world economy. Increasingly, this mood disorder is associated with the work environment, leading to numerous requests for leave from work through Social Security: between 2012 and 2016 alone, depressive episodes accounted for 30% of leaves due to mental disorders, according to given the Unique System of Benefits. The treatment of depression can be done with medication and psychotherapy concomitantly, increasing the improvement of the condition. The choice of the therapeutic plan must be made carefully, based on the symptoms and the severity of the depressive episodes.
