About 400 million people in the world suffer from mental disorders according to data released by the World Health Organization. Most of these people suffer or have already suffered from psychophobia and even took a long time to seek medical help due to prejudice. The Brazilian Association of Psychiatry seeks every day to make people aware that psychophobia must be fought and the importance of seeking medical help at the slightest sign. As a result of their fight, April 12th is now marked as the day to face psychophobia.
