Personality disorders are defined as persistent patterns in the individual's way of thinking, acting, reacting, feeling and relating that harm them in interpersonal relationships, causing suffering and functional impairment. Among the most well-known disorders are antisocial, borderline, narcissistic and psychopathy. Is every person who has a personality disorder violent? Is every person who commits a crime and has a personality disorder unaccountable? Will every person who has a personality disorder commit a crime?
