Religiosity and psychiatry are subjects that are constantly being debated. Religiosity is an important aspect in a patient's life, since he believes that faith can save him from any disease and that can help in any treatment. A study carried out in Brazil showed that 85% of patients would like their religiosity to be addressed within the doctor's office and only 8% said they had already had the subject discussed with their doctor. About 90% of American medical universities have already included modules on religiosity and health in their curricula.
