One of the main facts about people with autism spectrum disorder is that they are subject to discrimination and stigma. Prejudice often starts at home. According to the WHO, ASD affects to different degrees the way individuals communicate and interact, and currently affects about 70 million people worldwide. Furthermore, we know that the identification of ASD is more common in childhood than in adulthood. However, this does not prevent adults from being diagnosed: late discovery is due to the fact that these people manifest milder symptoms. That's the theme of today's ABP TV. Let's discuss this subject that still needs a lot of attention and affection.
