Badly slept nights, eating without schedule, stress, anxiety attacks... The day-to-day rush makes us get out of the routine and we often end up making up for it in food. The danger begins when the act of eating becomes a food compulsion. The way we eat is directly linked to our mental health. You need to be aware of the triggers that generate uncontrolled food and pay attention to changes, where the act of eating is no longer for pleasure and becomes an escape. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), in Brazil about 4.7% of the population suffers from some form of binge eating disorder. On today's show we're going to talk about it, understand how it starts and forms of treatments. This is one of the activities that will be at the Brazilian Congress of Psychiatry next month.
