The third age is called by many "the best age", but not everyone manages to reach that age with all the affection and care they need. According to data from the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights (MMFDH), in the first half of 2022 alone, more than 35,000 complaints of violence against the elderly were received.
June 15th is the world date of Violence Awareness Against the Elderly and in reference to the date, next Tuesday's ABP TV welcomes members of the ABP's Department of Psychogeriatrics to discuss the matter.
What are the main disorders triggered by violence? Is the suicide rate among the elderly high? These and many other questions will be answered in your weekly program.
