A psicoterapia cognitiva e comportamental no tratamento da insônia: um olhar para além de modelos e técnicas

A terapia cognitiva e comportamental é recomendada como tratamento de primeira linha no transtorno de insônia. Apesar de diversos estudos demonstrarem a eficácia da terapia no tratamento da insônia, há um número significativo de pacientes que não se beneficia do tratamento. Fatores relacionados a não resposta merecem ser investigados. O presente artigo analisa alguns dos potencias fatores que possam contribuir para falha do tratamento da insônia através da abordagem cognitiva e comportamental. Na avaliação desses fatores, diferentes aspectos podem ser apreciados para a compreensão dos mecanismos relacionados à resposta ao tratamento. Entre os componentes envolvidos no processo terapêutico, são ressaltados tópicos que incluem informações a respeito do que está sendo tratado, quem está sendo tratado, como a resposta é avaliada, qual a intervenção que está sendo realizada e quem é o terapeuta. Por meio da avaliação desses componentes, busca-se um olhar da terapia cognitiva e comportamental para além de técnicas; é proposto um pensar de como ampliar os benefícios da abordagem a partir dos resultados não obtidos e/ou descritos até o momento.
