The use of electronic equipment has become very common among all people and especially among children and adolescents who use technology as a form of distraction and also to interact with their peers. But can the exacerbated use of screens bring harm to mental health? This is a common debate between parents and health professionals. Use is indicated, but it needs to be balanced and not bring losses to the interpersonal lives of children and adolescents. Does screen abuse harm mental health? What disorders can be developed by this excess?
