March is considered women's month around the world, due to March 08, International Women's Day. Despite being officially celebrated since 1975, after the institution of the United Nations - UN, the date was celebrated previously since the beginning of the 20th century, where women claimed better conditions of work and equal rights. Unfortunately, violence against women is still a sad reality across the globe. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), Brazil ranks 5th in the world ranking of feminicides and, in 2018, 1,206 deaths were recorded in the country.
