Resumen

Introducción: En la Clasificación Internacional de Enfermedades, 11ª edición (CIE-11), el Trastorno de Conducta Sexual Compulsiva (TCSC) se clasifica dentro de los trastornos mentales, en el capítulo Trastorno de Impulso. El individuo presenta como criterio diagnóstico un patrón persistente de falta de control de impulsos o impulsos sexuales intensos y repetitivos. La afección debe persistir durante al menos seis meses y provocar sufrimientos graves o daños a la vida personal. Objetivos: Realizar una revisión narrativa de la literatura con el objetivo de presentar información actualizada sobre diagnóstico y tratamiento. Métodos: Revisión narrativa de la literatura sobre síntomas, causas y tratamiento de TCSC. Resultados y Discusión: Son esenciales los diagnósticos de otros trastornos sexuales, condiciones psiquiátricas y somáticas. Los medicamentos, la psicoterapia y la fisioterapia pélvica pueden resultar de gran valor. El tratamiento da la compulsión sexual tiene como objetivo inhibir dicha conducta y, al mismo tiempo, fomentar una actividad sexual sana, sin sufrimiento. Se pueden utilizar antidepresivos, antipsicóticos, estabilizadores del estado de ánimo y naltrexona, según el diagnóstico y las comorbilidades. Tratar posibles enfermedades clínicas como el hiperandrogenismo es fundamental. Los casos graves suponen un riesgo para otras personas y para el propio paciente, por lo que se pueden utilizar antiandrógenos como la ciproterona. Los medicamentos que provocan niveles de castración química, como los agonistas parciales de la hormona liberadora de hormona luteinizante (LHRH), no están autorizados para ese uso en Brasil. Conclusiones: Tratar adecuadamente los trastornos sexuales, psiquiátricos y clínicos es fundamental. Sin embargo, se necesita más investigación para dilucidar las causas del TCSC y las posibles alternativas de tratamiento.
