Asociación entre la calidad del sueño y rasgos de personalidad en adultos en atención primaria brasileña

Resumen

Introducción: La calidad del sueño es un determinante crucial de la salud. Los estudios han demostrado que los rasgos de personalidad pueden predisponer y perpetuar diversas enfermedades, incluidos los trastornos del sueño. Objetivo: Verificar la asociación entre la calidad del sueño y los rasgos de personalidad en el ámbito de la salud pública brasileña. Método: Una muestra representativa de pacientes adultos de una Unidad Básica de Salud de un municipio brasileño (n = 105) respondió un cuestionario estandarizado de personalidad, sueño y variables demográficas (edad, sexo, peso, altura y menopausia). Plataforma Brasil. CAAE: 80443924.1.0000.5219 Resultado: Se encontró una asociación significativa entre la Estabilidad emocional con un Índice de Calidad del Sueño de Pittsburg más bajo, es decir, mejor calidad del sueño y la Amabilidad con puntajes más altos en el Índice de Calidad del Sueño de Pittsburgh, es decir, peor calidad de sueño. Los demás rasgos de personalidad no estaban relacionados con la calidad o presencia de trastornos del sueño. Sólo el 22,2% de las variabilidad em la cadilad del sueño fue explicada por las variables incluídas. Conclusión: Estos hallazgos sugieren que los rasgos de personalidad están relacionados con la calidad del sueño y pueden ser una métrica útil en el ámbito de atención primaria brasileño, además de respaldar la noción multifactorial del sueño.
