Personalidade e expressão facial da emoção: investigando padrões em um caso de assassinato em massa

O presente trabalho investigou a expressividade facial da emoção de um ofensor num caso de assassinato em massa em termos de valência e alerta fisiológico, hipotetizando sua potencial relação de contiguidade com certos padrões de configuração de traços de personalidade, via modelo dos cinco grandes fatores. O estudo utilizou como método de análise a identificação das unidades de ação musculares envolvidas na manifestação observável das emoções básicas, por meio do sistema de codificação da ação facial da emoção. Realizou-se a análise de um vídeo gravado pelo ofensor de modo prévio aos ataques e de acesso público. Por meio de análise frame-by-frame, os dados foram utilizados na identificação detalhada de padrões de movimentos faciais, cujas características (gatilhos, frequência, intensidade) serviram de fontes de informação no entendimento de gatilhos emocionais específicos e configuração de certos traços de personalidade, para a elaboração de potenciais critérios de avaliação de risco no surgimento de semelhantes situações futuras.
