Attempted filicide: case report

This work aims to provide an overview of filicide and to describe the case of a mother who attempted to destroy her offspring and commit suicide shortly after. Classification of the event, risk and precipitating factors, the role of mental disorders, and ways to investigate and prevent filicides are discussed.
