Obesity is often associated with mental disorders such as anxiety and depression, but it is a complex disease with multifactorial origins: there are several causes involved in its emergence, which can be individual, collective, social, economic, cultural and environmental in nature. This means that obesity is not only related to individual attitudes and behaviors.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, obesity is a disease that affects around 96 million Brazilians and has been growing significantly in our country and around the world.
To talk about the subject, ABP TV welcomes psychiatrists Adriano Segal and Taki Cordás.
