7. Security Measures for Processing Personal Data

We employ technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from unauthorized access and situations that lead to the destruction, loss, or alteration of such data.

The measures we use consider the nature of the data, the context and purpose of the processing, the risks that a potential breach would pose to the user's rights and freedoms, and the standards currently used in the market by companies like ours.

Among the security measures we adopt, we highlight the following:

  • Password storage using cryptographic hashes;
  • Database access restrictions;
  • Monitoring physical access to servers.

Even though we take every effort to prevent security incidents, it is possible that a problem may arise solely due to third parties—such as hacker or cracker attacks, or even in cases of the user's sole fault, which occurs, for example, when they themselves transfer their data to third parties. Therefore, while we are generally responsible for the personal data we process, we are exempt from liability in the event of an exceptional situation such as this, over which we have no control.

In any case, in the event of any type of security incident that may create significant risk or harm to any of our users, we will notify those affected and the National Data Protection Authority of the incident, in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law.
