Forensic Psychiatry is generically known as the application of Psychiatry to Justice, that is, Psychiatry at the service of Justice. The present study aims to make a psychiatric contribution to criminal legislation. The adequacy of the Test for Verification of Cessation of Dangerousness is questioned and the replacement of this test by the Violence Risk Assessment Test is proposed. The latter, in turn, is seen by the authors as more feasible and faithful to the psychological reality of the subject examined.
