Neuroethics is a subset of bioethics concerned with the ethical issues of neuroscience, cognitive science, and neuroradiology. Research has progressed at an astonishing pace, and as a result, the acquisition and application of knowledge and technology raises practical and philosophical ethical questions. New insights into the mind-brain dilemma and increasingly sophisticated techniques for imaging and intervening in human cognition, emotion, and behavior raise ethical issues at the intersection of technology and psychiatry.
