A neuroética é um subconjunto da bioética preocupado com as questões éticas da neurociência, da ciência cognitiva e da neurorradiologia. A investigação tem progredido a um ritmo surpreendente e, como consequência, a aquisição e aplicação de conhecimento e tecnologia levanta questões éticas de natureza prática e filosófica. Novos insights sobre o dilema mente-cérebro e técnicas cada vez mais sofisticadas para obter imagens e intervir na cognição, emoção e comportamento humano levantam questões éticas na intersecção da tecnologia e da psiquiatria.
