Tendências emergentes no tratamento da perturbação obsessivo-compulsiva: uma revisão da literatura

O Transtorno Obsessivo-Compulsivo (TOC) é uma condição de saúde mental crónica e debilitante, caracterizada por pensamentos persistentes e intrusivos e comportamentos repetitivos. Os tratamentos tradicionais, incluindo a terapia cognitivo-comportamental (TCC) e a farmacoterapia, demonstraram eficácia, mas são frequentemente limitados pela resposta parcial e pelas elevadas taxas de recaída. Esta revisão da literatura examina as tendências emergentes no tratamento do TOC, destacando os avanços na psicoterapia, os novos agentes farmacológicos, as técnicas de neuromodulação, as intervenções digitais, a investigação genética e de biomarcadores e as terapias integrativas. Além disso, explora abordagens personalizadas para populações pediátricas e discute as futuras direções e desafios na área. A revisão sublinha o potencial destes tratamentos inovadores para melhorar os resultados terapêuticos e melhorar a qualidade de vida dos indivíduos com TOC.
