Meditation as a complementary technique in the treatment of anxiety disorders

This article presents, through a literature review, meditation as a complementary technique in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Anxiety and the use of meditation in the context of mental health are discussed. The study conclusions are discussed in light of the research available, and the results reported in the several studies described suggest that meditation brings therapeutic benefits in the treatment of anxiety disorders.
