Intrafamily homicides present themselves in various forms, which makes their understanding quite complex. Filicide is the murder of children by parents. The aim of the present study is to describe a case of filicide associated with the presence of borderline personality disorder, discussing the evaluation of criminal imputability related to this case. The issue of the criminal responsibility of individuals with mental disorders is challenging for criminal justice, psychiatry, and society. The determination of criminal responsibility is essential for the proper referral of people in any system of criminal law, thus protecting human rights and referring to psychiatric treatment those who need it.
